A little specialized, I know. After living in Denmark for over a decade, I not only fell in love with the ice cream (with real whipped cream and jam on top), but also became fluent in the language. Cultural references and nuances take time to absorb but working and living with the Danes has made this possible. The advantage of collaborating with a person who is not Danish is that I can provide both a ‘national’ and foreign perspective on social ethics, work styles as well as the sardonic Danish humor.
